Travel Physical Therapist (PT) - $2,746 per week in Battle Creek, MI

Description: This position involves the evaluation and administration of medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries, muscle, nerve, joint, and bone diseases. The goal is to improve or restore function, increase strength, relieve pain, and enhance functional independence. The therapist will interpret and implement referrals, evaluating patient functional abilities and disabilities through standardized assessments. Functional baselines will be established to gauge progress and physical improvements throughout treatment. The therapist will establish education and treatment planning while engaging in family and community education. Direct patient care includes conducting individual and/or group physical therapy activities according to the treatment plan. The therapist may design and fabricate splints and other assistive devices as part of their responsibilities. This role also involves documenting evaluations, patient treatment plans, and progress in the electronic health record per compliance timelines. The therapist will maintain accurate, legible, and complete records for each patient served. Crontributions to program development and participation in department process improvement initiatives are expected. Serving as a resource in areas of expertise and providing in-services for departmental staff is also part of the role. The therapist may need to cross-train and provide coverage in other departments within rehabilitation services as needed. Weekend rotation will be required, approximately every 4-6 weeks. No call requirement is present and floating is not expected. Interdisciplinary support and patient interaction will be key components of this position.
