Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Physical Therapist Specialty: FS Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: None License: Current license from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Physical Therapist preferred Certifications: Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire Must-Have: Baccalaureate degree in Physical Therapy Description: Under minimal direction, perform various therapeutic physical therapy treatments according to the direction of a physician. Interpret physician orders, evaluate patients, and formulate treatment plans to reach long and short-term goals. Interpret the patient’s response to treatment and modify plans to fit the current needs of the patient. Involved in the discharge planning of patients; write and instruct patients in a home program. Document treatment results and the patient’s response to treatment in the medical records. Depending on the amount of clinical experience, supervise and assist students during their clinical rotations. Maintain and clean equipment used by the department. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge of the principles, methods, practices, techniques, equipment, and procedures used in physical therapy. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology sufficient to evaluate and treat patients. Knowledge of equipment and the ability to adjust it to suit the patient’s needs. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff and excellent communication skills in guiding patients to assume responsibility for their treatment and development. Knowledge of computers.
