Key Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
  • Conduct 60-minute evaluation and treatment sessions within an outpatient setting
  • Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
  • Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
  • Serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
  • Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and complete all state-mandated continuing education requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of Florida
  • Ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
  • Proficiency in clinical documentation, goal writing, and compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional codes of conduct and ethical standards
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy
  • Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and organizational safety initiatives
  • Active involvement in continuing education and professional development activities
