Job Title

Physical Therapist – Outpatient (Orthopedics)

Contract | Days | Schedule varies; two evenings per week required until 7:00 PM | Floating position with option to extend

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in alignment with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
  • Delegate and direct all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
  • Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
  • Ensure all care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals as required
  • Serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
  • Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill all state-mandated continuing education requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy
  • Proficiency in clinical reasoning, treatment planning, and goal writing within established lengths of stay
  • Ability to maintain compliance with documentation standards, safety policies, and professional codes of conduct
  • Commitment to patient and employee safety practices
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students in a clinical setting
  • Active involvement in professional development activities, continuing education, or professional organizations
  • Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality improvement initiatives
