Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician direction
Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill continuing education requirements
Participate in organizational performance improvement initiatives and contribute feedback through staff meetings, focus groups, or direct supervisor channels
Required Qualifications
Active Physical Therapist licensure in good standing in the state of Virginia
Minimum of 6 months of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist (new graduates will not be considered)
Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
Proficiency in clinical documentation including progress notes, goal writing, and letters of medical necessity
Knowledge of and adherence to state and federal regulatory guidelines governing physical therapy practice
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
Experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students
Familiarity with functional quality indicator assessments and insurance authorization processes
