Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
Design functional treatment programs focused on progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay and facilitating effective return to community activities
Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
Serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
Actively pursue professional development through continuing education, self-study, and involvement in professional organizations, applying learned information to meet organizational objectives
Required Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of Colorado
Adherence to the state Physical Therapy Practice Act and all applicable regulatory agency requirements
Completion of all state-mandated continuing education requirements
Ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans in an outpatient setting
Commitment to patient and employee safety standards including safe patient handling and infection control protocols
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting with proficiency in 60-minute evaluations and 30-minute follow-up visit structures
Experience with clinical student supervision and mentorship
Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality initiative participation
