Key Responsibilities
Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned outpatient orthopedic patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician direction
Conduct 60-minute evaluations and treatments, progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay
Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
Participate in student programs as assigned, providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
Adhere to safety protocols including safe patient handling, infection control, and workplace hazard reporting
Required Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey
Compliance with all state-mandated continuing education requirements
Ability to perform in accordance with discipline-specific state practice act and professional code of conduct
Competency in clinical reasoning, treatment planning, and functional goal writing for outpatient orthopedic populations
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting
Experience supervising or mentoring Physical Therapy students
Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality initiatives
