Job Title

Physical Therapist (PT) – Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF), Travel Contract

Greenwood, Indiana

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | Monday – Friday with 2–3 weekend days per month | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct physical therapy services to adult inpatient rehabilitation patients with diagnoses including brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, amputation, cardiac conditions, and orthopedic injury
  • Manage a daily caseload of approximately 6–7 patients within a 44-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation setting
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans focused on maximizing patient function and facilitating safe discharge to home
  • Document patient progress and treatment using the UDS electronic health record system
  • Participate in a fast-paced environment with short patient lengths of stay, emphasizing efficient and goal-directed care
  • Float to sister rehabilitation facilities as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Indiana
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of physical therapy experience
  • Prior inpatient rehabilitation (IRF) experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience specifically in an adult IRF setting treating stroke, neurological, spinal cord, and orthopedic diagnoses
  • Comfort working in a high-acuity, team-oriented environment with an emphasis on collaborative discharge planning
  • Candidates with exclusively outpatient, school-based, or general acute care backgrounds are not well-suited for this role
