Key Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician direction
- Provide outpatient orthopedic physical therapy with 60-minute evaluations and treatment sessions, progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay
- Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
- Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
- Participate in student programs as assigned, providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
- Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and regulatory requirements while actively pursuing professional development through continuing education and professional activities
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey
- Completion of all state-mandated continuing education requirements
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
- Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional code of conduct and ethical standards
- Demonstrated commitment to patient and employee safety practices
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy
- Experience with clinical student supervision and mentorship
- Familiarity with functional quality indicators and performance improvement methodologies
