Key Responsibilities
Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician direction
Conduct 60-minute evaluation and treatment sessions, designing functional treatment programs that support effective return to community activities
Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
Participate in student programs as assigned, providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and regulatory requirements, maintaining professional licensure in good standing and fulfilling all continuing education requirements
Required Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Texas
Ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
Proficiency in clinical documentation, goal writing, and compliance with state and federal guidelines
Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional code of conduct and State Practice Act
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
Experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students
Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and ongoing professional development
