Key Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction.
- Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines.
- Delegate and direct all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring design of functional treatment programs that support effective return to community activities.
- Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations.
- Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill all state-mandated continuing education requirements.
- Actively participate in performance improvement initiatives and contribute feedback through staff meetings, focus groups, or direct supervision to maximize quality outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Georgia.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist.
- Experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy.
- Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop goal-oriented treatment plans focused on timely discharge.
- Proficiency in clinical documentation in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience supervising or mentoring Physical Therapy students in a clinical setting.
- Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality initiative participation.
- Active involvement in professional organizations or ongoing continuing education beyond minimum requirements.
