Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
Conduct 60-minute evaluations and treatment sessions in an outpatient setting, progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay
Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations as assigned
Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and all regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill all state-mandated continuing education requirements
Required Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of California
Outpatient Physical Therapy experience required
Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
Proficiency in medical record documentation in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
Commitment to patient and employee safety standards and safe patient handling practices
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience supervising or mentoring Physical Therapy students in a clinical setting
Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and participation in quality improvement initiatives
Active involvement in professional organizations or ongoing continuing education beyond state requirements
