Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction.
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines.
• Design functional treatment programs focused on progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay and facilitating effective return to community activities.
• Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
• Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations.
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and complete all state-mandated continuing education requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain licensure in Georgia).
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
• Ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
• Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional codes of conduct and state practice acts.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and safe patient handling practices.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting.
• Experience with clinical documentation systems and familiarity with insurance authorization processes.
• Active involvement in professional development activities, continuing education, or professional organizations.
