Key Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient acute care physical therapy services to an adult and geriatric population, including orthopedic, neurological, medical, and pulmonary diagnoses
• Participate in early mobility programs, including vent early mobility (Level 2), and support stroke and total joint replacement programs
• Float as needed across inpatient settings; may include coverage to an off-site outpatient center (approximately 2.5 miles from the main facility)
• Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient management
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary therapy team including OT, ST, PTAs, therapy aides, and rehab leadership
• Adhere to department dress code: burgundy polo or long-sleeve shirt, black pants, and appropriate footwear

Required Qualifications

• Active California Physical Therapist (PT) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience with acute care inpatient settings, including ICU and telemetry patients
• Comfort working with ventilated patients (census typically ranges from 2–6 vents)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with JCAHO-certified Stroke programs (NIH certification familiarity a plus)
• Familiarity with total joint replacement protocols (elective hips and knees)
• Experience with early mobility programs in an acute care or ICU environment
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR
