    Physical Therapist

    Texas | Outpatient

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | 5 days per week (2 days starting at 7:00 AM, 2 days until 6:00 PM) | 90-day assignment, open to extension

    Key Responsibilities
    • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
    • Manage a caseload of approximately 50–60 patients per week, with a majority focused on post-operative care
    • Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
    • Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
    • Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs as assigned with appropriate supervision and evaluation
    • Adhere to discipline-specific state practice acts, maintain professional licensure in good standing, and fulfill all state-mandated continuing education requirements
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of Texas
    • Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist
    • Proficiency with manual therapy techniques
    • Experience with post-operative patient populations
    • Ability to maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory and payer requirements
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in an outpatient orthopedic or post-surgical setting
    • Familiarity with functional quality indicator assessments and letters of medical necessity
    • Demonstrated commitment to professional development through continuing education and involvement in professional organizations
