Contract | Days | 5 days per week (2 days starting at 7:00 AM, 2 days until 6:00 PM) | 90-day assignment, open to extension
Key Responsibilities
Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
Manage a caseload of approximately 50–60 patients per week, with a majority focused on post-operative care
Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs as assigned with appropriate supervision and evaluation
Adhere to discipline-specific state practice acts, maintain professional licensure in good standing, and fulfill all state-mandated continuing education requirements
Required Qualifications
Active Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of Texas
Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist
Proficiency with manual therapy techniques
Experience with post-operative patient populations
Ability to maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory and payer requirements
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in an outpatient orthopedic or post-surgical setting
Familiarity with functional quality indicator assessments and letters of medical necessity
Demonstrated commitment to professional development through continuing education and involvement in professional organizations
