Physical Therapist – Hand Therapy

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs with a focus on hand therapy
• Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries
• Supervise PT Assistants and Aides in all aspects of patient care
• Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
• Maintain accurate patient chart documentation including prescriptions, test results, and authorizations
• Adhere to HIPAA policies and procedures and comply with OSHA, federal, and state regulations

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of California
• Degree in Physical Therapy
• Proficiency in ICD-10 coding and familiarity with PT billing procedures
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and assist patients with transfers, mobility, and walking safety
• Ability to remain physically mobile during 8–10 hour shifts, including standing, walking, and stool sitting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in hand therapy as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist
• Continuing education coursework relevant to physical therapy or hand therapy
• Familiarity with a variety of payer types including Medicare, workers' compensation, auto, and private pay
