Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
Conduct 60-minute evaluations and treatments, progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay
Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and regulatory agency requirements; actively pursue professional development through continuing education and professional activities
Required Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of California
Outpatient physical therapy experience required (new graduates will not be considered)
Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
Knowledge of and adherence to state and federal documentation and compliance requirements
Commitment to patient and employee safety standards and practices
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with functional quality indicator assessments and letters of medical necessity
Prior involvement in clinical student supervision or mentorship programs
Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies in a clinical setting
