Key Responsibilities
Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician direction
Perform 60-minute evaluations and treatments within an outpatient orthopedic setting, progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay
Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
Participate in student programs as assigned, providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and regulatory requirements while actively pursuing professional development through continuing education and professional activities
Required Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey
Compliance with all state-mandated continuing education requirements
Ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional codes of conduct and ethical standards
Experience with medical record documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy
Experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students
Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality improvement initiatives
