Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for adults in a geriatric rehab setting
- Prepare and apply therapeutic modalities and therapeutic exercises as directed
- Monitor patient responses to treatment, document progress, and report changes to the supervising PT
- Assist with transfers, gait training, and activities of daily living as part of the rehab program
- Maintain clean, safe treatment areas and properly sanitize equipment between sessions
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in California
- Ability to work effectively within a skilled nursing facility rehab team
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Commitment to patient safety, infection control, and professional standards
- Availability to work a guaranteed 35-hour week on a travel assignment schedule
