Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide therapeutic treatments that help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, and mobility activities.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on prescribed exercise programs and safety techniques.
• Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation.
• Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility training.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support rehabilitation goals.
• Ensure compliance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License required.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current BLS certification preferred.
• Strong patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
• Previous rehabilitation, skilled nursing, post-acute care, or outpatient therapy experience preferred.
