Contract | Days | Onsite | Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care Setting
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct physical therapy interventions as planned, delegated, and supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist
Administer treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing
Ensure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care
Instruct patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home programs
Monitor and document patient response to treatment interventions
Complete required forms and documentation in compliance with company policy and state/federal regulations
Required Qualifications
Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Certification through the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for PTAs, administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT)
Active and valid state licensure or eligibility to practice as a PTA in Washington
Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology
Ability to follow clinical direction from a licensed Physical Therapist
Physical stamina to assist patients with movement and therapeutic exercises
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience working in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Demonstrated empathy and patience when working with a high volume of skilled patients
