GLC On-The-Go is seeking a travel nurse RN Critical Care Float for a travel nursing job in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Join our team as a PICU Registered Nurse at a leading acute-care hospital in Albuquerque, NM. We are seeking dedicated healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care in our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This is a contract position with a focus on delivering high-quality nursing care to critically ill children.
Position / Specialty: PICU RN
Ratios: 1:2
Shift: Shifts are rotating; while they won't rotate within a 4-week schedule, flexibility to work either shift during the contract is required.
Years of Experience Required: 1.5 years
First-Timers Accepted: Yes
Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts for day shift and 5 for night shift (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights are considered weekends).
Certifications Required: BLS, PALS, NM License
On-Call Requirement: No
Floating Requirement: Float to NICU required; will float to Peds ED for admitted patient assignments if holding patients. Optional cross-training to PED assignment.
Local Radius Rule: No locals within a 100-mile radius.
Guaranteed Hours: Contracted hours of 36/week; facility is allowed to call off 3 times throughout a 13-week assignment.
Special Requirements: CRRT & ECMO procedure experience, vents, working knowledge of inotropic drips.
Patient Diagnoses: Respiratory distress/failure, renal failure, trauma, CRRT, ECMO, heme/onc, multi-system organ failure, suicide attempt.
Flu shot required; must be able and willing to take 2 intubated patients when needed. This is not preferred but may occur.
Hospital Highlights:
New contracts and extensions must be at least 10 weeks. A 6-month break is required for any travelers who have worked 4 consecutive assignments or reached their one-year mark, whichever comes first. Overtime after 48 hours on all contracts.
