Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse position located in Springfield, Illinois. The role involves providing specialized care to adult patients in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patients with diverse diagnoses, performing complex clinical skills, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: 1 year of experience as a PCU RN, current Illinois license, BLS and NIHSS certifications; ACLS preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in telemetry, neuro stepdown, and management of cardiac monitoring and emergency response.
  • Float: Float as needed to meet facility operational requirements.
  • Additional Information: Responsible for patient care in a high-acuity medical surgical environment with a focus on telemetry, cardiovascular, neurological, and trauma cases. Must be able to manage complex ventilated patients, perform phlebotomy, IV therapy, and manage multiple lines and drips. Experience with Cerner charting system and teaching hospital environment is preferred.
