Job Summary

Registered Nurse (RN), Progressive Care Unit Phoenix. The Registered Nurse provides quality patient care through assessment, individualized care planning, patient education, rehabilitation support, discharge planning, and accurate documentation. The role also directs and supervises ancillary nursing personnel while promoting patient safety and continuity of care.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification prior to the first shift; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification prior to the first shift when applicable; Epic experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience.
• Additional Information:
  • Complete nursing assessments within eight hours of admission and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Participate in rehabilitation programming and provide direct patient care using the nursing process.
  • Identify patient and family education needs and initiate discharge planning from admission.
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly.
  • Communicate changes in patient status to the care team to support continuity of care and patient safety.
  • Provide direction, training, supervision, and appropriate delegation to ancillary nursing personnel.
  • Promote a safe patient care environment and contribute to effective unit operations.
  • Participate in team conferences, professional development, continuing education, and unit-based team-building activities.
