Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit. The position supports adult and geriatric patients in a progressive care setting with a 1:3 patient ratio. The role includes management of complex cardiac, respiratory, neurological, renal, and post-surgical conditions.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week. Every other weekend is required. The anticipated start date is 11/30/2026.
• Required Qualifications: At least 1 year of required experience; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and LA City Fire Card certifications; compact license must be in hand at submission.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include caring for ventilated patients; managing BiPAP and CPAP; administering blood products; managing chest tubes, feeding tubes, tracheostomies, surgical drains, wounds, and wound vacs; interpreting arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias; managing cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration; administering oxygen and intravenous insulin protocols; providing telemetry monitoring, non-invasive airway management, peripheral and PICC line care, pre- and post-hemodialysis management, and rapid response or code team support. The unit treats conditions including sepsis, myocardial infarction, stroke, COVID-19, congestive heart failure, open-heart conditions, and trauma. First-time travelers are accepted.
