Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit, ensuring safe, evidence-based patient care and outcomes
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and on-call coverage with weekend rotation (every 3rd weekend)
- Monitor clinical performance, staff development, and adherence to policies, including documentation and quality metrics
- Collaborate with obstetric, neonatal, anesthesia, and nursing leadership to coordinate care and resources
- Ensure compliance with BLS, NRP, and EFM requirements; promote high standards of patient safety and infection control
- Mentor and supervise staff, support professional development, and drive Cerner documentation and workflows

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice: California (Required)
- BLS: Required
- NRP: Required
- EFM: Required
- Leadership experience: 10 years in a leadership role within L&D or nursing administration (Required)
- L&D background: Must have a strong Labor & Delivery background
- Cerner electronic health record (EHR) experience: Required
- Education: RN licensure (no additional degree specified)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced L&D setting with day and some evening coverage
