Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult patients on a high-acuity Med Surg/Tele unit, including baseline assessments, ongoing monitoring, and timely response to changes in condition
- Administer medications, IV therapies, wound care, and oxygen therapy as ordered; manage telemetry and basic respiratory support
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and modify care plans; assist with discharge planning and patient/family education
- Document care and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record; ensure compliance with unit protocols and safety standards
- Maintain infection prevention and patient safety practices; participate in rounds and care coordination activities
- May be required to float to nearby units within the network based on census and unit needs
Requirements
- Active RN license in New Hampshire or a multi-state/compact license; NH or Compact license must be current with NURSYS verification
- BLS required; ACLS required prior to start; NHISS credentialing needed prior to start; a Dysrhythmia Exam during onboarding with a preferred score of 80% is required
- 2+ years of Med Surg or Telemetry experience; high-acuity Med Surg/Telemetry exposure preferred
- Education: Graduation from an approved Registered Nurse program
- RTO (time off) requests must be included at time of submission
- Drivers license with address matching demographics
- EMR experience preferred (Cerner experience preferred but not required)
- Must be able to work nights and thrive in a high-acuity environment; may be asked to float to nearby units as needed
