Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse – PACU
Location: Atlanta, GA
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 8-Hour Day Shifts
Schedule: 4 Days/Week | Approx. 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 32 Hours/Week
Compensation:
- Pay Rate: $46–$55/hour (based on experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in a fast-paced surgical recovery environment. The ideal candidate will have strong post-operative nursing skills and experience caring for patients recovering from a variety of surgical procedures.
Surgical Services Supported:
- Orthopedic Surgery
- Plastic Surgery
- General Surgery
- Colorectal Surgery
- Gynecologic Surgery
Responsibilities:
- Provide post-anesthesia recovery care for surgical patients
- Monitor patients during the immediate post-operative recovery phase
- Assess airway status, vital signs, pain levels, and overall recovery progress
- Administer medications and manage post-operative symptoms and complications
- Coordinate discharge readiness, patient education, and recovery instructions
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection control, and recovery protocols
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced PACU setting
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent PACU or perioperative nursing experience required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required
- AHA BLS Certification required
- AHA ACLS Certification required
- Strong outpatient surgical recovery experience preferred
- Excellent critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity post-operative environment
