Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered specializing in Neonatal Respiratory Therapy in Indianapolis, IN. This position involves providing comprehensive evaluation and care for neonatal patients with respiratory insufficiencies within a Level 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The therapist will assess patient needs, develop treatment plans, implement advanced respiratory care modalities, and educate patients and families. The role also requires responding to emergency resuscitation codes as needed.

• Required Qualifications: Certifications include RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Basic Life Support (BLS). Education requirements include a high school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience, or an Associate's degree or Technical degree. This role requires Indiana Respiratory Care Committee licensure or certification, and BLS credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 month of hire or transfer date.
• Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA), certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Additional Information: The position operates within a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with 109 beds, utilizing equipment such as Servo N ventilator, Bunnell Jet Ventilator, 3100A Oscillator, Bubble Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), and Optiflow. The role involves every third weekend commitment.
