Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (Therapist, Respiratory) specializing in Pediatric care is needed in Boise, Idaho. This role involves managing respiratory treatments for adult and pediatric patients across inpatient floors, with a focus on neonatal intensive care units and pediatric units. The position offers a comprehensive clinical experience in a dynamic hospital environment with diverse patient populations.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), every other weekend, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). No minimum experience required.
- Preferred Qualifications: 2-3 years of experience if a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), 3-5 years if a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT); experience with NAVA on Cervo ventilators for NICU patients is a plus.
- Additional Information:
- Responsibilities include managing all Respiratory Therapy equipment, treatments, transport, and arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis.
- Will not perform EKGs.
- Travelers will assist with procedures but do not intubate independently.
- May float between designated medical centers.
- Orientation typically requires 2-3 shifts, including coverage of adult, pediatric, and neonatal units.
- Equipment used includes Draeger vents, Servo U ventilators, Vapotherm high flow, Optiflow, Philips Cough Assist, and more.
- Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the facility.
