Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - $1,948 per week in Avon, IN

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Must have a valid license in hand prior to start date Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: - Adult Critical Care experience - Emergency Department experience - Labor and Delivery experience - Pediatric experience Description: First-time travelers are accepted. Shift requirements include 3x12-hour shifts, holiday coverage, and every other weekend (Saturday, Sunday). Candidates will rotate in various areas including Emergency Department, Adult ICU, Adult Med-surg unit, and Adult Progressive Care Unit. The facility is a community-based emergency department, and candidates will be asked to assist with pediatric care in the emergency room as applicable. Every other weekend is required, along with working 2 of the 3 holidays as determined by the leadership team. Candidates must have skills in the following areas: - Airway management, including endotracheal tube/suctioning, extubation, intubation assist, and nasal and oral airway placement. - Tracheostomy care and suctioning. - Aerosol setup for mask and trach, as well as nebulizer management. - Ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation. - Oxygen therapy, including high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) and suctioning. - Assisting in high-risk deliveries and working with NICU II patients. Cerner experience is required. Candidates must float between high-risk deliveries, NICU, adult acute care, and the emergency department based on needs and skill set. The ideal candidate would have experience with adult patients and labor and delivery. Floating to meet staffing needs is mandatory.
