Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - $2,059 per week in Roanoke, VA

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Must have critical care experience to work in a high-volume ER, Level 1 Trauma Center. License: Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, RRT by the National Board for Respiratory Care. CRT not accepted. Must-Have: EPIC charting experience. Description: This position requires a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) that specializes in adult care. Candidates must have critical care experience, specifically to work in a high-volume ER, Level 1 Trauma Center. Experience with neurotrauma, cardiovascular services, and medical/surgical ICU patients is required. Skills in aerosol and medication delivery systems, including mask, trach, MDI, and Medihaler are essential. Candidates should be skilled in administering various medications such as Albuterol, Atrovent, and inhaled steroids. Competency in ABG interpretation and ventilator management, including BiPAP, CPAP, and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms, is necessary. Airway management experience, including extubation, tracheostomy care, and suctioning, is required. Proficiency in oxygen therapy setups and nebulizer setups is essential. The position involves serving a patient population that includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. A robust Assess and Treat protocol is implemented within the department. Candidates must work at least one holiday during the contract period and meet holiday requirements during winter holidays. Floating within skillset may be required. A commitment to the start date is essential.
