Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - $2,200 per week in Peoria, IL

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapy Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active Illinois license or confirmation that application process has been initiated Certifications: BLS, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Must-Have: Experience in a large critical care facility (300 beds or more). Experience in critical care. Not have worked in any affiliated facility in the past year. Preference for RRTs over CRTs. Description: The Respiratory Therapist provides care for patients in various settings including general medicine, intermediate care, and ICU. The therapist will be responsible for delivering approximately 26-28 treatments per day based on the AARC point system. The primary ventilators used include Servo U, Servo i, and LTV. For BiPAP and CPAP, ResMed S9 is utilized, along with Fisher Paykel for heated high flow. A team lead is present who acts as a resource and does not take an assignment. Clientists and Intensivists are available 24/7. Shifts are 12 hours long, with hours from 0630 to 1900 or 1830 to 0700. Every other weekend commitment is required, covering both days and nights. Holiday coverage is required every other holiday. There is no on-call requirement. Floating to other departments is not required. The dress code allows for any color scrubs, which are not provided. The orientation will include department-specific training and EPIC training, followed by hands-on experience with a preceptor.
