Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation (IRF) position in Dallas, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and AHA certifications.

Details

Inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting with 50 beds dedicated to severe injury and illness recovery
Rehab Nursing unit specializing in stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury
Patient ratio of 1:7
Day shift, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM (12-hour shifts)
13-week contract
Every other weekend required
Equipment includes IV pumps, EKG machines, bariatric beds, and medication dispensing systems
EMR: Cerner and Epic

Requirements

Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
Current AHA certifications required: BLS
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Rehab or med/surg nursing experience required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

Provides individualized, intensive rehabilitation nursing care to patients recovering from stroke, amputation, major surgeries, and other serious conditions
The facility is CARF-accredited for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program
Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
Royal blue scrubs required
Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
