Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Inpatient Rehab RN for a day shift travel contract at a 50-bed acute rehabilitation hospital in Dallas, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active TX or compact RN license.
Details
- Inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital (IRF) setting with 50 beds on a single-floor unit
- Patient population includes individuals recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injuries
- Patient ratio of 1:7
- Equipment includes IV pumps, EKG machines, bariatric beds, and medication dispensing systems
- EMR: Cerner and Epic
- Day shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
- Every other weekend required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current AHA certifications required, including BLS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
- Rehab and/or med-surg nursing experience
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provides specialized inpatient rehabilitation nursing care to patients recovering from stroke, amputation, major surgeries, and other complex conditions
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills are a plus for this role
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
