    Job Title

    NICU Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Travel Contract

    Location

    Austin, Texas

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM | Rotating Weekends (approximately 4 weekend shifts per month) | No Call Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide respiratory therapy care in a NICU setting, including patients under 32 weeks gestation
    • Perform standard RT procedures including nebulizer treatments, chest physiotherapy (CPT), and arterial blood gas collection
    • Manage and monitor mechanical ventilators (GE ventilators), V60 BiPAPs, and Airvo high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) devices
    • Assist with bronchoscopy and intubation procedures as needed
    • Administer inhaled nitric oxide therapy as directed
    • Transport patients on mechanical ventilation within the facility (e.g., to CT/MRI)
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
    • Minimum of 1 year of respiratory therapy experience in an acute care setting
    • Experience providing care to neonatal patients, including those under 32 weeks gestation
    • Proficiency with GE ventilators, V60 BiPAPs, and HFNC equipment
    • Experience with Meditech EMR
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in adult or neonatal critical care environments, including ICU or ED settings
    • Strong collaborative communication skills across multidisciplinary care teams
