    Job Title

    Respiratory Therapist – Acute Care / Neuro Diagnostics

    Location

    Newport News, VA

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide respiratory therapy services in an acute care hospital setting, including ICU, ED, and Medical/Surgical units
    • Support NICU respiratory care for candidates with applicable experience
    • Operate within a Level II Trauma Center environment alongside a team of 7–10 Respiratory Therapists depending on census
    • Float to other units as needed based on facility census and staffing requirements
    • Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records system
    Required Qualifications
    • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
    • Active CRT or RRT credential in good standing
    • BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
    • PALS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
    • Valid Virginia respiratory therapy license in hand at time of submittal, or proof of a compact license
    • EPIC electronic health records experience required
    • Specialty experience within the last year required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • NRP certification for candidates with NICU experience
    • Prior experience in a Level II Trauma Center or multi-ICU acute care environment
    • Experience providing NICU respiratory therapy support
