Job Description

DayOne Staffing, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Hilo, Hawaii.

Job Description & Requirements

  • Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit

  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • 36 hours per week
  • Shift: 12 hours, nights
  • Employment Type: Travel

Travel RN – Flex Pool (Med-Surg/Stepdown) – Night Shift – Hawaii

  • Shift: Nights, 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week after the first week of orientation; hours are not guaranteed
  • Experience: 2–10 years of nursing experience
  • License: Active Hawaii RN license required by the assignment start date; must apply upon offer acceptance if not already licensed
  • Certifications: BLS and ACLS required
  • Preferred Certifications: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC
  • Floating: Required between Medical, Laulima Surgical Acute, and occasionally Cardiovascular units
  • Patient Ratios: Medical 1:8 on nights; Laulima 1:6; Cardiovascular 1:4. Ratios may vary.
  • Unit Sizes: Medical – 77 beds; Laulima – 18 beds; Cardiovascular – 15 beds

  • EMR/Equipment: Meditech, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes
