Concentric Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Gulfport, Mississippi.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Provide accurate, timely documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record in accordance with policy
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program; utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with emphasis on patient and family education
• Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and communicate pertinent changes in patient status to attending physicians, charge nurses, and other care providers to ensure continuity of care
• Provide direction, training, and supervision of Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees; delegate appropriately and utilize problem-solving techniques
• Maintain a safe patient and work environment in accordance with hospital policies, including safe patient handling, infection control, and hazard reporting

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• ICU experience required
• Demonstrated competency in nursing assessment, care planning, and clinical documentation
• Ability to supervise and delegate to ancillary nursing staff
• Commitment to patient and employee safety standards

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in an acute rehabilitation or specialty hospital setting
• Familiarity with interdisciplinary team conferences and rehabilitation care models
• Experience assuming charge nurse responsibilities
