Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an ED Observation/Telemetry unit role requiring step-down or PCU experience and a CO or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the ED Observation unit of a hospital setting
• Step-down/PCU candidates only
• Schedule of three 12-hour day shifts weekly from 0700-1930
• Rotating weekend requirement
• Floating required to other Telemetry units, Ortho surgical trauma, and acuity adaptable units (e.g. insulin drips, sepsis patients)
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active RN license, single state or CO compact license required
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required and must not expire prior to start
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the specialty required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for patients
• Provides health teaching, counseling, and therapy supportive to patient well-being
• Documents care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Refers patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment
• Returning staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
