Social Worker Opportunity – Jackson, MS

Anyone have a Social Worker licensed in a Compact State 

University Hospital – Jackson, MS 

Start Date: 8/6 or every other Thursday
Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule: 36/48-hour rotating schedule, Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Work every Wednesday & Thursday and every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Facility: Level I Trauma & Academic Medical Center

Requirements:

• Active LMSW or LCSW license
• Active Mississippi Social Worker license
• Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient medical case management experience
• At least 1 year within the last 3 years in a 500+ bed Level I Trauma/Academic Medical Center
• Previous travel experience in a Level I facility within the last 3 years
• Recent acute inpatient case management and ED discharge planning experience (within the last 2 years)
• Strong computer skills
• Proficient with Epic EMR

This manager is seeking highly experienced candidates who can work independently with minimal training. Typical caseload is 15–20 patients per day.

Interview Process: Webex video interview (20–30 minutes). Candidates must provide availability within 72 business hours after submission.

• 50-mile radius rule for travelers
• Local candidates accepted at $70/hour
• Flu vaccine is required (medical exemption only)
• Fingerprinting required (remote process takes approximately 10 days, or complete in person at the Jackson or Grenada campus)
