Key Responsibilities

• Perform speech-language evaluations and treatments daily for adult inpatient population
• Conduct Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies for both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Perform Passy Muir valve trials and tolerance trials
• Complete cognitive assessments and expressive/receptive language assessments
• Provide caregiver training and participate in interdisciplinary communication with physicians and residents
• Prioritize and manage caseload across multiple units and floors, including ICU and CVIUCU, including care of tracheostomy patients

Required Qualifications

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required
• Active Florida Speech-Language Pathology license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Proficiency with Meditech Expanse or similar electronic documentation system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel therapy experience preferred
• Ability to work independently as the sole speech therapist for adult inpatient care the majority of the time
• Comfort treating patients in ICU and CVIUCU settings, including tracheostomy management
• Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced acute care environment and manage a diverse patient caseload across multiple units
