Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing facility setting
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluation findings
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team members to coordinate patient care and discharge planning

Required Qualifications

• Active Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of South Dakota (or eligibility)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, or Clinical Fellowship eligibility
• Experience working in a post-acute or skilled nursing facility environment
• Current BLS/CPR certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a PACS or long-term care setting
• Familiarity with MDS documentation and Medicare/Medicaid guidelines
• Experience with dysphagia evaluation and treatment, including modified barium swallow studies
