Description

American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist with 2+ years of experience and IRF or SNF experience for an inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Springfield, MO.

Details

  • Inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting with 60 beds
  • Treats patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic injuries
  • Patient population includes geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients (age 13 and older)
  • Common diagnoses include neuro, ortho, debility, and cardiac conditions
  • Patient ratio of 7 to 1
  • Utilizes EKSO, InMotion UE Robotic, and body weight support equipment
  • EHR systems include UDS and Epic
  • Monday through Friday schedule, 7:00am to 4:30pm
  • Weekend hours available on request
  • No call requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • IRF or SNF experience required
  • License required if applicable
  • AHA certifications required
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and work ethic

Additional Information

  • Work within a brain-injury unit with monitored rooms, specialized beds, and dedicated therapy space
  • Dedicated stroke care unit with specialized equipment available
  • Access to gymnasiums with high-tech therapy devices and treatments
  • Facility accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC) and CARF for inpatient rehabilitation
  • Black scrub color required
  • Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
  • Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
  • Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
