Position Summary

The Speech Therapist provides evaluation, planning, and implementation of therapeutic programs for patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders. This role supports patient recovery by delivering individualized treatment to restore optimal communication and swallowing function.

Core Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients with communicative and swallowing impairments.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to establish therapeutic goals and interventions.
• Perform bedside swallow evaluations and other speech therapy procedures as appropriate.
• Maintain compliance with departmental policies, professional standards, and confidentiality requirements.
• Participate in departmental communication and scheduling to ensure efficient delivery of services.

Qualifications

Specific Educational/Vocational Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• Valid Speech Language Pathology license in the state of Texas.
• BLS certification.
• ASHA Certification
• Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) License

Job Skills

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency for documentation and communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
