Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing facility setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluation findings
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team members to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
Required Qualifications
- Active Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of South Dakota (or eligibility)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, or Clinical Fellowship eligibility
- Experience working in a post-acute or skilled nursing facility environment
- Current BLS/CPR certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a PACS or long-term care setting
- Familiarity with MDS documentation and Medicare/Medicaid guidelines
- Experience with dysphagia evaluation and treatment, including modified barium swallow studies
