Key Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language pathology services to patients in an acute rehabilitation unit (ARU) setting
- Evaluate and treat patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Document patient progress and treatment plans using facility EMR systems (ProTouch and ProDoc)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient recovery and discharge planning
- Float to acute care units as needed when ARU census is low
Required Qualifications
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license valid in the state of California
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred or eligibility required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Ability to work in an acute rehabilitation and acute care hospital environment
- Compliance with facility dress code: scrubs with no logos
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an acute rehabilitation unit (ARU) setting
- Familiarity with ProTouch and/or ProDoc EMR platforms
- Experience floating between units in a hospital environment
