Contract | Travel | Days | 13-Week Assignment | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders in an acute care hospital setting
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluation findings
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
Document patient progress, treatment plans, and clinical outcomes in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
Required Qualifications
Active California Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred or eligibility required
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in an acute care or long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) setting
Experience with dysphagia evaluation and treatment, including modified barium swallow studies
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
