Registered Nurse - HVTI Stepdown Unit

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

D/N rotating shift: 7pm-7:30am/7am-7:30pm. Travelers must work at least every other holiday. Shifts may be variable to meet operational needs.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide patient care in the HVTI Stepdown Unit. There is potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for a similar patient population. A commitment to upholding the quality and safety standards of patient care is essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a stepdown environment.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, making appropriate decisions to ensure the best outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare provider.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide integrated care for patients.
• Participate in patient and family education to promote continuity of care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty.
• Permanent Ohio RN license or a compact state license in hand at the time of submission.
• Current certifications in AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Must have one reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for (no co-worker references).
