Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Step Down unit position requiring 18 months of recent stepdown experience and an active Ohio or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the HVTI-Stepdown unit at a hospital setting
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population
• 3x12 hour shifts with day (7:00-19:30) and night (19:00-7:30) rotation
• Shifts may vary based on operational needs of the hospital, with preferred shift honored when possible
• Required to work at least every other holiday

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact state license required in hand
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 18 months combined permanent experience in stepdown specialty required, preferably within one location
• Minimum 18 months of recent Stepdown experience required, travel experience accepted
• PCU/Progressive care experience preferred but not required
• One reference required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment completed during orientation, with an acceptable score required on both
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Assignment length options of 13 or 20 weeks available to provide winter coverage
• Assignments may remain ongoing for up to 18 months, with a 6-month break required before returning to the facility
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
